Inspiring Poetry

10 years of using Poetry to spread the message of Peace

Using the spoken word, to convey a message has for some time allowed many feelings, experiences and views to be expressed ... Poetry is mentioned in the Holy Quran, which states that some people can use their God given poetic gifts to further the cause of truth and lead righteous lives. Poets for Peace was setup in 2014 to provide a platform to inspire others through poetry. Our events intend to present a variety of inspiring English Poetry from a variety of inspirational Poets, and we hope their words will touch upon your hearts, helping us to realise the beauty contained within all of our faiths. .

Events we have held ..

Baitul Wahid Mosque

1st ‘Poets forPeace’ event held on the 31st January 2015 at the Baitul Wahid Mosque in Feltham, London.

Baitul Ahad Mosque

2nd ‘Poets forPeace’ event held on the 5th September 2015 at the Baitul Ahad Mosque in Upton Park, London.

Noor Mosque

3rd ‘Poets for Peace’ event was held on the 2nd April 2016 at the Noor Mosque in Crawley.

Baitul Fatuh Mosque

4th ‘Poets For Peace’ event held on the 3rd Sept 2016 at the Landmark Baitul Fatuh Mosque in Morden, which is the largest Mosque in western Europe.

The Hythe Centre, Runneymede

5th ‘Poets for Peace’ event held on the 11th November 2017 at The Hythe Centre Runneymede, Staines Upon Thames.

BAITUL EHSAN MOSQUE

6th ‘Poets for Peace’ event held on the 22nd February 2020 in collaboration with ‘Scriptstuff’ at the Baitul Ehsan Mosque in Leamington Spa.

Live Virtual Poetry Event

ALSO Festival

Our very first ‘in-person’ festival held on the 4th July 2021 performing on the Woodlands stage at the ALSO Festival in Warwickshire.

Collaboration with ScriptStuff

Our second poetry event held in collaboration with the Poetry group ‘ScriptStuff’ on the 16th July 2022 at the Baitul Ehsan Mosque in Leamington Spa.

The Baitul Futuh Mosque
